At St. Monica’s, we support our students in deepening their spiritual journey and reflecting on their faith. Collaborating closely with local parish churches and parents, we provide opportunities for students to participate in the sacramental program.
Year 8 pupils will be given the opportunity to complete the Deanery preparation course for the Sacrament of Confirmation in school. These sessions will be led by Sister Linda Pergega. Sister Linda will be coming into school to lead an assembly for Year 8 to introduce the preparation course.
There will be four preparation sessions in school starting in January, followed by further sessions in your parish to help prepare children for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This will take place later next year in our associated parishes.
Dates for the Confirmation services will follow as soon as they are available from the parishes. If you wish for your child to take part in the preparation course and the Sacrament of Confirmation, please complete the Form available via the link below before Friday 17th January.

We wish the children well as they begin their preparation for the sacrament. If you have any questions regarding the Confirmation Programme, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Kehoe.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be made available to our students as part of our seasonal Reconciliation services held during Advent and Lent. These services will be scheduled in coordination with the availability of clergy, providing students with the opportunity to experience God’s grace and forgiveness in a meaningful and reflective setting. We encourage all students to participate in this important sacrament as a way to strengthen their faith and prepare their hearts during these sacred seasons.
