As the Headteacher of St Monica’s RC High School I warmly welcome you to the St Monica’s website which I hope you will find very useful and full of important information. It is both an honour and a privilege to serve our young people and I am very proud of our whole school community.
We are a Catholic family, diverse and different, supporting each other in all we do through prayer and service. Our mission statement encapsulates the values of our school as a lived experience every day.
Our prime focus is to prepare our pupils so that they are ready to take their place in the world. Our strong pupil outcomes ensure that pupils leave St Monica’s ready and equipped to move onto their chosen pathway. Our curriculum goes beyond the individual subjects with many enrichment and personal development opportunities available.
Our recent inspections state:
St Monica’s is ‘a welcoming school community’ where there is “a real sense of value placed on each person as based in the image of God.” (CSI Inspection, Feb 2024) and where ‘Staff and leaders at all levels are united in their desire to bring about positive change. As a result, the school has taken the right action, in the correct order and at suitable pace’ (Ofsted, 2024)
